Buxa Tiger Reserve

Deep in the terai-bhabar ecosystem bordering Bhutan, tracking elephants and leopards.

Buxa is a densely forested reserve that acts as an international corridor for elephant migration between India and Bhutan. My focus here was on documenting the diverse avifauna and the movement patterns of large herds. The humidity and thick canopy provided challenging lighting conditions for photography.
